03/09 Monday

The sunshine and warm temps have caused a lot of melting.  I went up this morning and observed a few ski trails.  The base is thinning or gone in most areas.  We will not attempt any further grooming until conditions change. Randy

03/07 Saturday

A trace of snow overnite.  Most ski trails rolled and smoothed out this morning.  I set some shallow classic tracks on Campground, Meadow, and Phil's thru Moose.   Constantly changing, spring conditions exist.  The base is very thin in a lot of areas.  There are some dirt spots already starting to appear.  Be safe and have fun, Randy I intend to go up tomorrow morning to quickly touch things up before it gets warm. 03/06/26 Friday

It's been a spell since I could report anything... 5" to 6" of new snow.  All ski trails rolled multiple times.  The base is thin in most areas.  Constantly changing spring conditions exist.  Be safe and have fun! Randy

01/24 Saturday

Just an update...  A dusting of snow from the front that passed thru yesterday/last nite.   We have been clearing trees for the last couple of days, again.  Conditions at present are: Campground loop is in pretty good shape with the help of the Middle School and High School teams' contributions.  Meadow Trail is patchy in one stretch and pretty good otherwise.  Lower Meadow is a basically a snowy pasture.  All of the other ski trails have large areas of open ground, too much to categorize them as marginal.  Randy

01/09/26 Friday

About 3" of new snow out of this last storm.  We rolled Campground thru Moose, Ridge, and Alder thru Chyt's.  The base is just barely covering the ground in a lot of places.  Conditions are marginal. Randy

12/28 Sunday

3" to 4" of new snow.  Campground, Meadow, Phils thru Vans, Haunted Forest, Gobi's, Ridge, Alder and Chyt's were all rolled.  Where there was still snow on the ground yesterday, snow stuck.  There are a lot of bumpy and thin areas.  Conditions are marginal to fair in places.  I will work on the trails more when we get more snow. Good skiing, Randy

Monday December 8

After a couple of snow events, I thought we might have enough to begin establishing a base.  Campground, Meadow, Phil's, Turnpike, Moose, Van's, Haunted Forest, and Gobi's were rolled this afternoon.  Based on snow depth, no other ski trail work will take place until we get more snow.  Ski conditions are marginal One way to get more snow on the ground is to participate in the snow dance.  Time to break out your best moves and let's get the ski season rollin'! Good skiing, Randy

Wednesday

Spring has sprung, Mother Nature wins.  Grooming of the ski trails is done for this season.  Great to make new friends, and to catch up with old friends.  Thanks to all! Randy

Tuesday

We groomed the lower loop of Campground, Meadow, Upper UW, and Phil's thru Van's.  Upper UW will not receive and further grooming.  Mother Nature is really pushing for a change in seasons.  Given the temperature forecast, I don't think the remaining trails will hold enough snow to groom by this weekend, probably sooner.  Stay tuned. Good skiing, Randy

Super sunny day

The sun is shinning on the hill today. The snow helpd up pretty well from yesterday to today but it is going to melt fast this week. Get out and enjoy the last of the season! Campground, Meadow, Upper UW, Phil's, Tie City, Moose, and Van's were all smoothed out today. Don't forget the sunscreen! -Dan

Sunday

Apologies, I just noticed I had an email issue, and the grooming report wasn't sent.  Mother Nature melted more base than anticipated today.  All ski trails that we've been grooming were done again today. It looks like this year's ski season is winding down.   We'll keep grooming as long as there is snow and you folks are still skiing. Be safe and have fun, Randy

Friday

We had 1" to 2" of new snow overnite and as we groomed this morning.  Again, the trails groomed out great where there was snow.  Yesterday, we shoveled snow into some areas to remain passable then, low and behold, someone(s) else moved a lot of snow to thin areas.  Thank you. Randy

Thursday

A dusting of new snow overnite.  The trails groomed out great again, where there was still existing snow.  The season is winding down so, get out and enjoy! Good skiing, Randy

Wednesday

About 2" of new snow since yesterday.  Same trails groomed as before.  The areas on the ski trails that were still holding snow groomed out great again.   Beware of open areas and trail narrowing.  Spring conditions exist. Good skiing, Randy

Tuesday

About an inch of new snow last nite.  Campground, Meadow, Upper UW, Phil's thru Van's groomed this morning.  The trails groomed out nicely where there was snow from the day before.  Increased trail narrowing and bare spots are present.  The spring conditions are constantly changing.   Be safe and have a great day, Randy

Another Spring day

There was a skiff of fresh snow on the trails this morning. The warm afternoons have been doing their thing, still some very thin spots on the trails.  Got the groomer out and hit the trails that have been holding snow the best. A classic line was also put in on most trails. Campground, Meadow, Upper UW (no classic tracks), Phil's, Tie City, Moose and Van's all got groomed out today. Constantly changing conditions out there. -Dan

More Spring snow!

A couple more inches of fresh snow fell yesterday. It was never very cold up here so the snow is pretty wet.  Still just rolling again today to get that fresh snow to stick the trails. Campground, Meadow, Upper UW, Phil's, Tie City, Moose, and Van's all rolled today. Get out and enjoy the last of the snow! -Dan

Wet Spring snow overnight

New snow up at Happy Jack last night. About two inches of very wet warm snow fell overnight last night. It was enough to cover up all the bare spots but was already melting fast as we left today. The snow is very thin in spots! Just rolling this morning, trying to get what fell to stick. Campground, Meadow, Upper UW, Phil's, Tie City, Moose and Van's all got rolled out. Hoping for more snow tonight! -Dan

Lots of melting up at Happy Jack

Tons of sun and warm temperatures did not help the skiing. Lots of good snow still out there but lots of bare spots too. Campground, Meadow, Upper UW and Phil's through Van's all got groomed today. There is a rumor of more snow coming this weekend, but spring conditions are everywhere on the trails. Enjoy the sun! -Dan

Spring at Happy Jack

Tons of sun and warm temperatures ot the ski trails again today. Upper UW, Phil's, Tie City, Moose and Van's all groomed pretty good today. I would avoid the Campground hill today as it was looking very thin.  The snow bridges were shoveled today but there was a lot of melting on them yesterday.  Enjoy the sunny days!  -Dan
