Yes, it's the Happy (not Sad) Jack report and on yesterday's comment, this old timer reckons if we get more snow grooming might start by mid-week or so. The groomers do an exemplary job, we're fortunate they go up there when it can look like AntFrick'nArctica up there.
I was up yesterday morning and have seen a lot of other places grooming well with significantly less snow. I am strating to get real disappointed with MBNA. Seems like they don't car about the skiers anymore.
Well then, you might head on down to Colorado where you might have the namby pamby girlie man grooming that fits your fancy. This is Wild, by God Wyoming where the women are strong, the men are good looking and the children are above average. You should have been on board with us a couple years ago when we had the Wednesday night races! We were tough, independent and competitive!
Yeah right on, at the Wednesday night races we never complained about the perfectly adequate grooming, we just went for it, even tucked down Lower Van's into the dark.
Completely ridiculous. These guys are out grooming in crappy weather, doing the best they can, for donations! If you don’t like it, don’t go back, please! Respect and appreciation is in order.
To Randy and the other volunteers - thank you for keeping up an excellent ski trail system. Most of us are gracious and thankful. Keep it up!
Ya, I remember the Wednesday night race series, how long ago was that? A decade?. I remember the 90's when the trail were twisty turning and technical and still groomed. We have lost all of our downhills, upper uw, lower uw, summit, all rerouted and slow now.
I do believe the groomers are paid for their work; they are not volunteers. I’m still very grateful for the work they put in to groom and maintain the trails. However, with as much snow as we currently have, they really could be grooming rather than just rolling (and in the past, they have groomed with far less snow). I’m not asking that they spend more time up there in the nasty weather, just that they pull the groomers rather than the rollers when appropriate.
This is the Happy Jack report correct?
