After the last 2 warm and sunny days, the base was firm this morning.  Barely a trace of new snow.  All ski trails groomed this morning.  Classic tracks remain in good condition.   Good skiing, Randy

All ski trails groomed today.  Classic tracks are holding up very well.  Lots of sunshine and warm weather lead to spring conditions.  The trails did groom out very well but, a few areas were set up a little firmer than the rest.  By now, everything will be a little softer.   Good skiing, Randy

All ski trails groomed today.  Laid some pretty corduroy this morning.  Classic tracks set on all trails.  Lots of sunshine…  Get out there and git ya sum!   Some drifting in the lower area of the parking lot.  Upper area is fairly clear.  Entrance and exit are in good shape.   Good skiing, Randy

2”- 4” of new snow overnite.  All ski trails groomed.  We actually took some extra passes to knock down drifts/rises and level trails.  With the breeze, and snow still coming, no classic tracks were set.  The base, in most areas, will be a little soft.   Good skiing, Randy

No new snow but, a little more drifting.  All ski trails groomed.  Classic tracks set on Campground, Meadow, Upper UW, Phil’s thru Summit, and Ridge.  Surface is soft in areas.   Good skiing, Randy

2” to 3” of new snow.  Due to the stiff breeze, there was a fair amount of drifting on the ski trails.  All trails groomed this morning.  The vast majority of the classic tracks are either blown in or drifted over.   Good skiing, Randy

Hello all! The snow didn't get overly warm yesterday so I was able to finish off the classic tracks today! Classic tracks were set on Lower UW, Blackjack, Rollercoaster, Ridge and Alder. The other tracks that were set yesterday were looking pretty excellent. All the skate lanes also got a grooming today. It is Spring and the Sun is getting high in the sky but for now the snow is looking excellent with just some variability out there! TGIF! -Dan 

Hello all! Beautiful snow and it's starting to get warm up there! The snow changed on me real quick today but I was still able to get some good grooming done. Skate lanes were groomed out the whole way around. Classic tracks were set on Campground, Meadow, Upper UW, Phil's, Moose, Van, Summit, Miners and B Loop. Basically everything except Lower UW, Blackjack, Rollercoaster and Ridge, we will try for those tomorrow. We will be back at it again tomorrow! -Dan

About 4 inches of fresh snow fell on the trails overnight. All trails were rolled out today and more work will be done tomorrow! More snow may fall today! Be safe out there -Dan 

Hello skiers, About an inch of fresh snow fell overnight and really helped the trails. All skate lanes groomed and classic tracks were set on everything but Lower UW, Blackjack and Rollercoaster. There is a small chance of more snow tonight so hopefully it looks even better tomorrow! Have a great day! -Dan

Hello skiers! Very typical Spring day up at Happy Jack. The snow glazed over night and was hardpan in the morning. A couple passes around the skate lane served to soften it up but there is a lot of variability out there today. The classic tracks still have not been touched. Hopefully we get a little shot of snow up there today. That would help to freshen up the trails and to reset classic tracks. Keep doing those snow dances and enjoy the Spring weather! -Dan

Another beautiful day up at Happy Jack!  The sun is out and it is hitting the trails pretty hard. Some places more than other but it's starting to get a little variable up there, the spring is upon us! All skate lanes groomed today and looking pretty good. The classic tracks are still very frozen but if we get some new snow this week they will get reset. The worst ice that I saw today was on the drifts from the parking lot to the ski trails, if you're walking those hills with your ski boots on please use caution! Have a great day! -Dan

About ½” of new snow.  All ski trails groomed today.  The trails groomed out pretty good… we were able to soften the surface and do some leveling.  Classic tracks were not addressed today and remain in poor to fair shape.    Good skiing, Randy

A light dusting of snow overnite But, you may need to look hard for the evidence.  Due to the WARM conditions yesterday and the cold last nite, the base was very hard this morning.  We took multiple passes on all ski trails to smooth out and soften.  We were somewhat successful.  Classic tracks were not touched and are in poor to fair condition.  Spring conditions exist.   Good skiing, Randy    

A little sheen to the base this morning.  It was warm enough overnite that the base didn’t set up rock hard.  We were able to loosen the surface to the point we could lay some corduroy.  All ski trails groomed this morning.  With the existing warm weather and the storm rolling in tonight, classic track were left alone.  Tracks remain formed in most areas.   Good skiing, Randy

Spring conditions for a couple of days.  A few areas of the ski trails had a sheen today.  It is predicted to be warmer today and tomorrow, then winter comes back.  All ski trails groomed this morning.    Classic tracks are in good shape but, will be changing as the day progresses.   Good skiing, Randy

Starting to enter spring conditions…  All ski trails groomed.  Classic tracks set on Phil’s,  Van’s and the Summit complex.  Tracks set yesterday remain good, for the most part.   There has been a recurring problem with someone removing the “please do not enter” signage.  This directional signage is in place for safety reasons.    Randy

A little new snow overnite.  Depth is difficult to measure due to the breeze.  All ski trails groomed this morning.  Classic tracks set on Campground, Meadow, Phil’s thru Moose Loop, Ridge, and Alder.  Due to the increasing velocity of the breeze, areas of the classic tracks were being drifted in.   Good skiing, Randy

Felt like spring this morning.  The snow warmed up quickly and was only going to get warmer.  Thank goodness for some cloud cover.  All ski trails groomed.  Classic tracks looked fair, where they had blown in, to good in other areas.   Good skiing, Randy

Great day for skiing up at Happy Jack! A little overcast but those things clouds are keeping the snow! All skate lanes were groomed today. The classic tracks are the same from a couple days ago. The parking lot has a lot of ice on it so be careful walking in and out but the hill is clear so driving out is not a problem! Have a great weekend! -Dan

Less than an inch of new snow overnite.  Apparently, there was a little breeze as well.  There was a little drifting in areas as well as classic tracks disappearing.  All ski trails groomed multiple times.  Classic tracks set on Campground, Meadow, Upper UW, Phil’s thru the Summit complex, Ridge and Alder.   Good skiing, Randy

There was a little new snow on the trails this morning.  All ski trails groomed.  Classic tracks set on Upper and Lower UW, Rollercoaster, Ridge and Meadow.  The tracks set yesterday did have some snow blown into them but, still very skiable.    To those of you still participating in the snow dance, thank you.  Be care not to mix techniques and do the wind dance, as this particular dance can be mighty effective…   Good skiing, Randy
