01/30 Sunday

All ski trails groomed this morning.  Coverage remains good.  It was warming up pretty quickly so, the surface will be a little soft today.  Depending on tonight's temperatures, it may be rather firm Monday morning.  The forecasters are threatening snow for Tuesday... fingers crossed.  Might consider a snow dance just to help out. Good skiing, Randy

01/28 Friday

All ski trails groomed today.  Classic tracks set on all ski trails except Sprint and "B" Loop.  Coverage is great. Good skiing, Randy

Hello! Beautiful cold day up at the Jack!  About 1-2 inches of new snow fell overnight but there was a lot of drifting. All trails got the skate lane groomed out and are looking good. No new classic tracks today but we will set for the Pole Mountain Shuffle soon! Enjoy the freshies! -Dan

01/26 Wednesday

01/24 Monday

All ski trails groomed.  Coverage remains good with a few thin spots here and there.  The base is getting firmer.   What a great time to try a new snow dance technique.  Maybe now would be a good time? Good skiing, Randy

Wednesday, Jan 19

Hello skiers! A little fresh snow was falling as the grooming was happening today! About a half inch fell as I was grooming and it was still softly snowing as I left, thank you for the snow dances!! All the trails were groomed today, hopefully you won't even notice because they are getting covered by new snow! Keep rocking those snow dances! Every bit helps! -Dan

Tuesday, Jan 18

It's beautiful day up on the hill! All trails groomed out and are looking pretty smooth. There are a couple patches made where snow was getting exceptionally thin, shouldn't impact skiing. Have a great day! -Dan

01/17 Monday

All ski trails groomed this morning.  There are a few thin spots starting to show, primarily on the Summit complex.  Otherwise coverage remains good.   We need less warm weather and more snow.  So, get out the dancin' shoes and put'em to use! Good Skiing, Randy

01/16 Sunday

All ski trails groomed this morning.  There are some classic tracks left over from yesterdays race on Meadow, Ridge and Blackjack. Classic tracks set on Phil's, Turnpike, Moose Loop, Van's, Summit and Minors Loop.  Coverage remains good and base is still thin. Good Skiing, Randy

01/14 Friday

An estimated 1" to 3" fell as I was grooming today.  All ski trails groomed multiple times in an attempt to save every flake.  I noticed it quit snowing around 3:30 - 4.  Once the snow ceased, the BREEZE picked up. Reminder: several teams will show up Saturday mid morning, to compete in a Middle School race. The course is Meadow, Phils, Ridge, Blackjack, Alder and finish on Chyt's.  Things should be wrapping up mid afternoon.  PLEASE - respect the participant and the course, thank you! Good skiing, Randy

01/13 Thursday

All ski trails groomed today.  More of the same... warm weather is doing us no favors for our base depth.  Coverage remains good so, get out and enjoy. Reminder: Middle school race this Saturday at noon.  Extra traffic from around 10am to 2:30. Good skiing, Randy

01/12 Wednesday

All ski trails lightly groomed today.  Coverage remains good.  The warmer weather, along with the breeze, has helped to make a hard packed surface.   A reminder: There is a Middle School race this Saturday 1/15 at noon.  Teams will be arriving midmorning and leaving around midafternoon.  The race will begin in Lower Meadow and continue on Meadow, Phil's, Ridge, Blackjack, Alder and Chyt's.  Please respect the participants and the course. Good skiing, Randy

01/10 Monday

All ski trails received some work today.  We brought the groomers out, for the first time this year.  We were able to level the trails to some extent, with consideration to the base depth.  We will continue to improve the skiing as much as mother nature will allow. Good Skiing, Randy

01/09 Sunday

All ski trails rolled and smoothed this morning.  With the base being so thin, we have little to work with when trying to minimize surface unevenness but, we did make some progress.   Good skiing, Randy

01/08 Saturday

1" to 2" of new snow overnite.  All ski trails rolled multiple times and smoothed.  The ski trails have good coverage but, its still a little thin to begin grooming.  We will continue to minimize the bumps and address the uneven surface with the snow we have to work with.  It's getting better every day. Good skiing, Randy

01/07 Friday

8" to 10" of new snow by my count.  All ski trails rolled multiple times.  The base may be a little soft now but, with the warm weather this afternoon and cooling off overnite, it should set up pretty good. Good skiing, Randy

01/06 Thursday

?? new snow.  The road was open briefly this morning but, when we got to the gate it was closed again.  as of now,  WYDOT has the road scheduled to open Friday afternoon. Good Job on the snow dance!  however, some of you may have confused the snow dance with the wind dance.   Randy

01/05 Wednesday

No new snow this morning, at first.  Roughly and inch, or two, fell as we were rolling.  The way it looks outside, you probably couldn't tell we did anything.  The road was closed when we came to town so, I can't even say good skiing... So, until we can work the snow from this storm, keep doing the snow dance - with vigor! Randy

01/02 Sunday

3" of new snow overnite.  All ski trails rolled and  smoothed.  Coverage is good but, the base remains thin.   Have fun, Randy

01/01/2022
