02/28 Sunday

About 1/2" of new snow.  All ski trails groomed.  Classic tracks set on Campground, Meadow, Phils thru Lower Vans, Upper and Lower UW, Rollercoaster, Ridge, Blackjack, and Alder.  While pulling the track pan, I kicked up dirt on a couple of places as a reminder that the base is still very thin in spots.   Good skiing, Randy

02/27 Saturday

A pleasant surprise of 2 1/2" of new snow overnite and it was snowing like crazy as we started work this morning.  Unsure of total accumulation.  All ski trails rolled multiple times. Have a fun ski, Randy

02/26 Friday

Most ski trails groomed.  Classic tracks set on Campground, Meadow, Upper and Lower UW, Phils thru Lower Vans, Rollercoaster, Ridge and Alder.  Tracks are not complete on all trails due to base depth.  There are still some thin/bare areas but, where there is coverage the skiing is good. Good skiing, Randy

02/25 Thursday

A little better than 2" of new snow.  All ski trails rolled multiple times. Good skiing, Randy

02/24 Wednesday

Morning conditions were a little crusty.  We did use the groomers to soften up the surface along with smoothing out some trails.  We did some additional shoveling to help level some ski trails. Good skiing, Randy

02/23 Tuesday

Most ski trails rolled today.  We did try grooming the trails that had enough snow.  I even tried setting some classic tracks for the first time this year...  Campground, Meadow, Upper and Lower UW, Phils thru Lower Van's, Haunted Forest and Rollercoaster had groomers on them.  We were able to smooth out those trails some so they won't be quite so "lumpy".  Classic tracks were set on part of Campground, Meadow, Upper UW, Phils, Turnpike, Moose,  Lower Vans, and Haunted Forest.  Where tracks were set on each trail was based on base depth.   Good skiing, Randy

02/22 Monday

Most ski trails rolled today.  We had more plans but, an equipment breakdown took 'till late afternoon to repair.  We'll try again tomorrow. Randy

02/21 Sunday

4" to 5" of beautiful new snow overnite.  All ski trails rolled multiple times.  Conditions will be softer... yep, we got enough snow that the surface will be a little soft.   GREAT job on the snow dance! Good skiing, Randy

02/20 Saturday

No new snow the last 2 days.  Like a broken record... All ski trails rolled both days.  Just need more snow. Good skiing, Randy

02/18 Thursday

About 2" of light, dry, new snow overnite.  All ski trails rolled multiple times.  We are slowly inching toward a seasons base, when we can start actual grooming.  We just need a little more...  The forecasters predict a little warmer temps and a REAL breeze.  Maybe, a little snow along with.  Fingers crossed for less breeze and more snow! Good skiing, Randy

02/17 Wednesday

About 2" of light, dry new snow fell on the ski trails last nite.  All ski trails rolled multiple times. Good skiing, Randy

02/16 Tuesday

A trace of new snow since yesterday.  All ski trails rolled multiple times.  For our snowpack, the conditions are pretty good.   Still need more snow so, please do the dance. Good skiing, Randy

02/15 Monday

1" to 2" of new snow since Saturday.  All ski trails rolled multiple times today.  The base still is not deep enough to use the groomers but, conditions are about as good as they've been this season.  So, conditions aren't great but, they are better.  We need the temps to stay cold(not frigid), and more snow.  I am of the opinion that we've lived with marginal conditions enough this year and we are due for some good, or dare I say great, conditions.  My 2cents. Good skiing, Randy

02/13 Saturday

1"+ of new snow overnite.  All ski trails rolled multiple times.  Skiing is good in the areas that were holding snow prior to Friday.  In contrast, the thin areas are still very thin with dirt/snow mixture.   The temps are forecast to go well below 0*, so have fun but be careful. Randy

02/12 Friday

About 1 1/2" of new snow this morning.  All ski trails rolled multiple times. I had planned on writing an explanation as to why no daily grooming reports, so here goes.  We have gone up a few times since the last blog but, we didn't accomplish anything as far as improving the trails for skiing, and we have done some mechanical work.  The base is so thin in areas that by going over them with equipment we could cause more harm than good.   I am completely unaccustomed to not writing daily grooming reports.   I actually ran out of things to say, no really.  I do hear some snickering...  If I don't see the ski trails, I will not comment on the condition of the ski trails.  I am used to working most every day by this late in the season so, I'd have first hand knowledge.  This year is just different in so many ways.. The forecasters can't seem to agree on what may happen this weekend... So, lets all do the snow dance.  It darn sure c...

02/06 Saturday

A dusting of new snow overnite.  All ski trails rolled multiple times.  Still waiting for MORE SNOW. Good skiing, Randy

02/05 Friday

A little bit of new snow on the ski trails.  Whether from the sky or what the breeze brought is not important.  All ski trails rolled multiple times this morning.  The skiing is actually pretty good where we had base before, the thin spots are clearly showing thru.  More forecasted snow for this weekend.   Do the dance with fingers crossed for deeper snow. Good skiing, Randy

02/04 Thursday

About 1" of new snow.  All ski trails rolled multiple times.  Forecasters say more snow to come thru this Saturday...  DO the SNOW DANCE. Good skiing, Randy
