12/31 Thursday New Years Eve

We cleared and rolled Phils thru Summit this morning.  Base varies in depth between nothing and thin.  The surface is uneven in multiple areas.  We just need more snow... Special thanks to Santa's elves who cleared trees from the lower trails last week, and the outer trails yesterday. Celebrate the beginning of a new year with a snow dance.  Do the dance with unbridled enthusiasm! Randy

12/30

We had a snowmobile that didn't want to work this morning.  It took more than a couple of hours convincing, on our part, to change its mind.  After that, we rolled and removed downed and hazard trees from Meadow, Upper and Lower UW, Rollercoaster and Blackjack.  We also installed trail name signs along with directional signage to help skiers with the reroutes.  Ski trail maps should be coming soon. The base is thin and uneven. We will continue to roll and mark more trails in the near future. The cold weather is helpful but, what we really need is more snow.  So...  whatever style of snow dance you've been practicing, it's not working.  Mix it up and try something new, different and maybe even a little strange.  Randy

12/29 Tuesday

Rolled Campground, Meadow, Upper and Lower UW, Rollercoaster and Blackjack today. Some areas had good snow, others exposed dirt. This is just the start of establishing a base. If it stays cold and we get more snow, we'll keep working the trails. Also, there are downed trees that have caused a narrowing of the above ski trails, which we will remedy shortly. We will begin directional and trail name signage on the above trails as I understand the confusion with the new reroutes. I will keep you informed as things progress. Randy

12/16/2020 Wednesday

Hello all, Just a quick update for 20/21 season. First, to settle some confusion, we will be grooming the ski trails this season... business as usual. Next, several reroutes were completed this summer. Some short, some longer. I am VERY EXCITED to ski them! Lastly, the question of when will we start grooming has been brought up. The short answer is when we have enough snow and there is a good chance it will last. As of today, there is some snow on the ski trails. The snow we have received so far is dry and light. We are close to taking rollers out and beginning to establish this seasons' base. Stay tuned. In the meantime, there is good skiing between the rocks and lots of user packing going on. Also, we need to re-establish the passion for the snow dance! Randy
